Start with a sample.
Get a feel for editing before you use your own document. Pick a practice file, make one change and save a new copy.
On an empty Home screen, choose Try a practice PDF. The app creates a short example on your computer and opens Edit text. Correct “Firday” to “Friday”, choose Done editing, then try Undo or Save a copy. Finish or check your current creation draft before starting the practice PDF.

Connection sharing is optional and off by default. If enabled separately, third-party traffic uses your public IP, including while Pagekind is closed. Read the sharing details.

- Open the sample in Pagekind.Save the practice PDF, then choose Open PDF in the Windows app.
- Make the first line shorter.Choose Edit text and click “The page feels calm and clear.” Inside its editing box, select the line and replace it with “The page feels clear.”
- Try Undo, then save your version.Undo restores an applied change. Make your correction again, choose Done editing, then Save a copy with a new filename. In 1.1.17, the Last saved copy strip shows where it went; choose Copy path if you need the location.
Your check: reopen the saved copy and inspect the changed words. Keep the original practice file so you can start again.

Our two-page picture sample repeats a green image. Replace one placement and see how the other pictures stay separate.
- Open the picture practice PDF.Choose Edit, then Edit pictures. Select the top-left green picture on page 1.
- Choose Replace picture.Select the sample PNG. Keep proportions is the default; check how the blue circle fits inside the selected frame.
- Check both pages.Confirm that the other green pictures stay the same. Save a copy with a new filename and inspect it.
Good to know: replacing a picture changes its appearance. It is not secure redaction of confidential content.
