Open the page you want to arrange.
Choose Forms, then Design a form. Expand Field navigation on this page. The current saved rule appears above the controls. A page needs a visible fillable field before you can set its navigation.
Preview rows or columns.
Choose Rows across the page or Columns down the page. Turn on Show field navigation numbers to preview Pagekind's field order. Rows work well when each line contains related answers. Columns work well when people should finish one vertical set before the next. Both follow the PDF's declared reading direction.
Apply the rule once.
Choose Apply page navigation. Pagekind saves a real page navigation rule in one undoable change, retaining field answers and page appearance. Finish or leave a pending question draft first. Choosing the same rule again keeps the current history step.
Try filling.
Switch to Forms to use the fields. Pagekind's on-page controls follow the saved row or column order. A radio question has one tab stop; its arrow keys move between available answers and wrap within that question. The selected answer applies through the same live form workflow. Read-only fields stay read-only.
Keep the finished copy.
Use Save a copy to retain the original. Undo restores the previous navigation rule; Redo restores the applied result. Choose PDF reader default and apply it to remove the explicit page rule. Other pages keep their own rules.
Know what the numbers mean.
The numbered preview covers fields. The saved PDF rule also affects other focusable annotations, including links. Other readers can resolve overlaps and irregular page layouts differently. Tagged, XFA, structure-based or unknown navigation remains retained. This feature does not add tags, manual arbitrary order, form scripts or accessibility remediation.
Available in the unsigned Pagekind 0.65.0 engineering preview. Automated checks use unshown controls and saved PDF output; human keyboard, screen-reader and clean Windows checks remain separate release work.
