Start with the version you want to print.
Open a PDF and finish your edits. Choose Tools, then Print, or press Ctrl+P. Pagekind prints the working document, so you do not need to save a separate copy first. An unfinished edit that needs attention must be corrected or cancelled before printing.
Choose the pages you need.
Use All pages, Current document page or Page range. A range such as 1-3, 5 selects the first three pages and page five. Page numbers count from the start of the document. Odd and Even filter those page numbers; Reverse page order reverses the final selection. Preview selected pages shows one sheet at a time, with Previous sheet and Next sheet to check the rest.
Choose how the page fits.
- Fit printable area makes the page fit, enlarging or reducing it as needed.
- Actual size keeps the PDF’s physical size. Content outside the printable area may be cropped.
- Shrink oversized pages reduces a page that is too large and leaves smaller pages at their original size.
- Custom percentage uses your chosen scale. Check the preview carefully when enlarging.
Letter is selected initially. A4 and Legal are also available. Auto-rotate can turn a page to use the paper more effectively. Zoom and Fit width change your view of the preview, without changing the print scale.
Check, then choose a printer.
If you change settings, the previous preview fades and asks you to refresh it. The preview uses standard margins. Choose Print to open Windows printer settings, where you can select the destination, copies and supported double-sided settings. The printer’s actual printable area determines the final layout.
Choosing Print in that Windows dialog starts preparation and submission. Cancel can stop preparation before any job is submitted. After submission starts, some sheets may still print; check the Windows printer queue.
Know what is being sent.
Pagekind prepares pages as images locally. Under More print options, choose grayscale, whether to include printable annotations, and 150, 300 or 600 DPI. Filled form fields remain included. Very large pages use a lower resolution to limit memory, and Pagekind reports that reduction. The PDF itself and its Undo history stay unchanged.
Your chosen destination may be a network printer. Print data and temporary page images do not retain the PDF password. Temporary images are removed after the operation when Windows permits; Windows and the printer manage their own spool storage.
Pagekind 0.65.0 is an unsigned engineering preview. Automated checks cover local page images and real XPS output without using a printer. Physical printer and driver behavior has not been tested. Vector printing, booklet layouts, posters and multiple pages per sheet are not included.
Respect the document’s print settings.
If the owner disabled printing, Pagekind explains the restriction. If printing is limited to 150 DPI, the quality control follows that limit. Open Passwords to check the allowed actions or enter the owner password without closing your tab.
