A LITTLE HELP WITH YOUR PAPERWORK

Build a packet from the PDFs already open.

Bring the right pages together. Check the source, order and destination before making the change.

A practical Pagekind guideWork with local files

Start with the destination.

Open the PDFs you need, finish any source text or form drafts, then select the tab that should receive the pages. Choose Insert pages, then Open PDFs. Each source shows its name, applied unsaved changes and location. Its original file stays unchanged.

Choose the pages and their place.

Enter all, a range such as 1-3, or an ordered selection such as 5, 2-3. Choose after or before the current page, at the start or end, or replace the current page. Your choices stay with this destination tab, so you can return to them.

Review before applying.

Choose Review pages. Check the source name, page order, destination and resulting page count. The first selected pages appear as small previews. Choose Insert pages or Replace with pages to apply the reviewed selection. Pagekind selects the first inserted page; Ctrl+Z restores the preceding PDF snapshot.

Use the current source.

Applied edits in the source tab are included. If the source changes or closes after review, review it again. A failed review keeps your page range so you can correct it or retry. The source tab’s pages, history and reading position stay intact.

Handle protected or marked sources.

Remove a source PDF password explicitly before copying its pages. The destination keeps its password protection. If the source has unfinished redaction marks, export its verified redacted image copy and open that copy before inserting its pages. Draft marks alone have not removed the underlying content.

Check forms and document structure.

Copied form fields receive distinct names so their values can change independently. A form page can be selected only once per insertion. Replacing a page removes its annotations; check links and bookmarks that referred to it. This assembly does not rebuild accessibility reading order, so review the structure of tagged PDFs after saving.

Included in the 0.65.0 Windows engineering preview. Copy up to 1,000 source pages per operation. This workflow copies pages; it does not move them out of another tab or provide drag-and-drop between documents. To build a packet from files you have not opened, combine PDFs from disk instead. All processing stays local.
