Choose Create. See your options.
Choose Create in the top bar, or press Ctrl+N. The Create workspace opens with Blank PDF, From text and From files. It starts with one blank A4 page. Choose Letter or Legal if you prefer, and use Landscape when you need a wider page. Opening Create does not open a file picker.
Start with a blank page.
Choose Blank PDF, enter between 1 and 100 pages, and choose Create PDF. Your new document opens with Add text ready. Add a text box, place a picture with Edit pictures, or use Design a form to build something people can fill in.
Turn your words into a document.
Choose From text and write or paste your text. Create PDF lays it out in 12-point type with clear margins, wrapping long lines and adding pages as needed. The result contains selectable text you can edit within the supported text tools. Your creation draft stays available if you return to Create.
While the From text box has focus, use Ctrl+Z to undo your typing and Ctrl+Y to redo it. These shortcuts stay with that text box, including when another PDF is open behind Create. This local typing history is available in the 0.65.0 preview.
Put files in the order you want.
Choose From files, then Add files. This is the step that opens the file picker. Choose PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP or WebP images, or UTF-8 .txt files. Select a row and use Earlier or Later to change its position, or Remove to leave it out. Review the list before choosing Create PDF.
Pictures fit inside the selected page without cropping. Transparent areas become white. Multi-frame images include each frame, and text files add as many pages as they need. An existing PDF belongs in Open PDF or the page assembly tools.
Keep working. Save when ready.
The result opens as a new unsaved tab. Other open PDFs, applied edits and Undo histories stay available. Review the pages, make your changes and choose Save a copy with a new filename. Your source image and text files stay unchanged. For new words on an existing page, follow Add text, place it and save.
If creation is interrupted.
Pagekind checks whether your PDF was created. A completed result opens once. If its result cannot be checked, your draft stays available and the button becomes Check result. Your other documents remain available while you check. You can also prepare new text or settings for your next PDF; checking the earlier result keeps that newer draft.
If Pagekind confirms that the PDF was not created, choose Create PDF to make a new attempt. A PDF you already closed stays closed. If a completed PDF cannot load its first preview, select its new tab to try loading it again.
Keep unfinished drafts before closing.
Pagekind warns before closing with unfinished creation drafts. Choosing to keep working retains the draft. These drafts last for the running window and are not saved across app exit. Save your created PDF as a copy when it is ready.
If something needs attention.
An empty text draft, an invalid page count or an unreadable file produces an explanation and keeps your settings. Cancelling Add files keeps the current list. Creation supports up to 200 files, 512 MiB of combined input, 24 million pixels per image frame and 1,000 output pages. Each text input can contain up to 256 KiB of UTF-8 text. Unsupported character shaping or missing glyphs are refused.
Pagekind is an unsigned engineering preview. This creates plain text and image pages; it does not reproduce Word layouts or recognize text inside pictures. Recover can find committed workspaces after their previous window closes. Creation drafts are not included, and an unverified partial result may not appear in Recover. Automated checks use unshown controls and actual PDF outputs; human accessibility and clean Windows checks remain separate.
